Introduction
In the 2017 academic year, the library merged with the Information Technology Center to form the Office of Library and Information Services. A Library Resources Section was established within the library, with three staff members responsible for tasks including acquisition, cataloging, collection management, circulation, periodicals, audiovisual materials, reference services, and information support.
The library currently holds a total collection of over 500,000 items, including 370,373 volumes of Chinese and foreign books and reference materials, 313 titles of newspapers and periodicals, 7,639 types of multimedia audiovisual materials, 118 electronic databases, 9,424 electronic journal titles, and 139,753 e-books. The collection continues to grow. (As of 2024/11/01)
The library is a member of the interlibrary cooperation network and the Northern Taiwan Library Alliance, offering the university community diversified resource sharing and embodying the spirit of shared access. The library is now fully automated, with completed CD-ROM and web systems. In the future, the library will continue to develop specialized and integrated services and promote digital transformation to provide more efficient and diversified research support.
