Library Regulations(for International Students)
- Faculty, staff, and students must present valid university-issued identification (faculty ID or student ID) to access library resources and borrow materials.
- Faculty members and graduate students may borrow up to 20 books for a period of 42 days.
- Part-time lecturers and undergraduate students may borrow up to 10 books for a period of 21 days.
- Borrowed books may be renewed once before the due date, provided they are not reserved by other users.
- Overdue books will incur a fine of NT$5 per book per day, with a maximum fine of NT$300 per book. Borrowing privileges will be suspended from the due date until all overdue items are returned and fines are fully paid.
- Users with outstanding borrowed materials or unpaid fines will not be permitted to complete clearance procedures for graduation or resignation.
- If borrowed library materials are lost, stained, or damaged, users must replace them with identical editions. If replacement is not possible, users must compensate with a payment equal to 1.5 times the original price of the item, plus a NT$50 handling fee.
- Visitors or individuals without a valid university-issued ID (faculty or student ID) must present a photo ID to apply for a temporary access pass, and follow the university’s temporary access policy.
- Students may reserve individual study rooms using their student ID. Each reservation allows use for one day, except during midterms and finals, when use is limited to four hours. If no other reservations exist, renewal is possible. Smoking, eating, drinking, making noise, or any inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited. Violators may have their access revoked immediately. Users are responsible for their personal belongings; the library is not liable for any loss or damage.
- Students may reserve group discussion rooms using their student ID. A minimum of three students is required per reservation. Each session is limited to a maximum of four hours. If no other reservations exist, renewal is possible. Smoking, eating, drinking, making noise, or any inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited. Violators may have their access revoked immediately. Users are responsible for their personal belongings; the library is not liable for any loss or damage.
- Students may borrow audiovisual materials for viewing in the second-floor AV area by presenting their student ID and checking out the desired disc at the first-floor counter. The student ID will be returned upon the return of the material. Only one item may be borrowed at a time; after returning it, another may be borrowed. Any damage to discs or equipment must be reported to staff immediately to avoid compensation liability. Eating, drinking, and inappropriate behavior are prohibited. Please avoid disturbing the quiet environment of the library.
