The New York Times – Free Personal Account and App Access for Faculty and Students

Faculty and students can register for a free personal account using their school email address to access The New York Times. Once registered, users can enjoy unrestricted access to the latest news, professional commentary, arts and culture, lifestyle, and more—anytime, anywhere.

In addition, the platform offers access to several paid apps. For the first year, the provider is offering a limited number of free one-year app subscriptions to help users explore a broader range of content. Faculty and students who are interested in applying for app access should reply directly to library@mail.knu.edu.tw with the applicant list (see attachment) by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 21. Only the first 50 applicants will be accepted.

Quota: 50 accounts

Available Apps: Cooking and Games (each applicant may choose only one)

Activation Method: Once approved, applicants will receive a notification email with a unique URL to activate their access. (Please refer to the App Activation Instructions)

Validity Period: One year from the date of activation

Expected Activation Date: Early July
