Borrowing Guidelines

1 . Borrowing Instructions

   1. Guidelines for the Use of Laptop Computers:
  (1) Users are not allowed to delete any files on the computer without authorization, and self-installed software must be licensed.
  (2) Users are not allowed to disassemble or replace internal components of the computer.
  (3) Unauthorized copying of software from the computer is strictly prohibited; please respect intellectual property rights.
  (4) Avoid touching the computer screen with hands or objects; in case of mechanical malfunctions, immediately cease operations and inform the Equipment Rental Center staff for assistance.

  2.Guidelines for Single-Projector Use:
 (1) It is strictly prohibited to touch the lens part of the projector with hands or objects. Extra care should be taken during use.
 (2) After use, the projector's power must be turned off first, and then unplug the power cord to prevent the bulb from burning out.
 (3) In the event of a mechanical malfunction, immediately cease operations and notify the Information Technology Center staff for assistance.

2.  Borrowing Rules for Faculty and Teachers
(1) For instructional use, the borrower must present their identification documents such as driver's license or ID card; borrowing can only be done by the person named on the documents. Fill out the "Equipment Borrowing Application Form" to process the loan.
(2) Borrowing of various equipment is limited to one item per classroom or class; repeated borrowing is not allowed to avoid affecting the rights of other borrowers. If a teacher has a special need to use two items, the staff will consider the inventory at that time to process the loan.

3.  Rules for Borrowing Equipment for Campus Events
(1) Administrative units should have the responsible personnel handle the borrowing in person.
(2) Academic units should have the assistant hold an approved signature for borrowing.

4. Penalties and Regulations for Late Returns of Equipment
(1) To maintain the principle of borrowing and returning on the same day, cooperation is requested. However, in case of Sundays, holidays, or other rest days, the return can be postponed by one day.
(2) Administrative and academic units should return the equipment after the event is over.
(3) When returning equipment, please return all accessories for each equipment. After the equipment passes the test by the center's staff without any issues, your documents will be returned.
(4) In case of loss or damage to equipment, the borrower and the borrowing unit must take responsibility for restoring it to its original condition or compensating for the damage.
(5) All users should collectively take care of and protect the equipment mentioned above. If any damage or malfunction is found, please immediately inform the staff or submit an online repair request. The center will dispatch personnel promptly.

5.Penalties and Regulations for Lost Equipment
(1) Failure to follow the borrowing rules and correct operation that leads to equipment damage will result in penalties as defined in the center's management regulations, and compensation will be required based on the equipment's value.
(2) Failure to return equipment by the deadline will result in the center notifying the borrowing department to inform the borrower. After reminders, if the equipment is not returned within the specified period, the borrowing privileges for that unit will be suspended until the equipment is returned.
(3) Serious violations of borrowing rules may result in the center revoking the borrowing privilege. In cases of malicious damage, compensation for all equipment will be required.
